| Hotel was good however nothing mentioned in the advertising of it being on the Terrace which generally means a taxi back of an evening from anywhere, unless you're a mountain goat. |

| The Novatels location met all my requirements. Very central for walking and public transport when visiting the many sight seeing activities.
Only stayed the one night, chose a steak for dinner. It was 'Rump' and tough. Wish I had chosen something else. Breakfast was fine, good selection. |

| less in house movies available than at the Ibis in Christchurch I stayed at the previous week! Room was clean, comfortable and well laid out. |

| it is an establishment that uses the rack rate as a base and you pay for every thing else. nothing is included. |

| Location close to CBD and service at this hotel was excellent. Rooms are very well appointed and spacious. |

| I really enjoyed myu stay at the Novotel. We got a room with a great view. The decor uses a lot of pleasant natural fibres and there are interesting B&W photographs on the walls.
The service was fine although I didn't try the restaurant |

| Good quality moderate priced hotel, breakfast good but pricey. Reasonable hotel restaurant. Hot water takes an age to arrive in shower. |

| Our superior room was spacious and very well equipped with two TVs and bathrooms. Reception was very helpful and informative. Location was better than it first appeared once you know of the short cut to the city centre and sea front. We were there at the weekend and it is probably a busier location during the week as it is situated in the business area. |
